Instructions for Holy Communion on July 26

Instructions for Holy Communion from Your Home Purchase bread and grape juice before Sunday, July 26. Join us for worship at 9:30 am on July 26. Before worship starts, put the bread unwrapped on a plate (you may use any kind of bread).  It might be especially meaningful to make your own unleavened bread (this would be a great activity with kids and an opportunity to teach them the story of the Exodus without them even being aware that they…

June 23 Church update

Grace Community Church Family, Our Church Council decided that beginning this Sunday face masks may be removed during the sermon.  I appreciate the work of the Church Council and thank God for their willingness to find unity and consensus even among a diversity of views.  Their decision was not based on fear or politics, but on the biblical principles of submission to authority and loving your neighbor.  This decision is consistent with the latest guidelines from the Governor that were issued last Friday and allows…

A Call to prayer

When: 5:21pm Daily for 14 dyas What: John 17:21 Why: I am deeply convinced that the evil one is at work at this moment to divide the church through the issues of the day (politics, race, face masks, social distancing, etc.)  Let’s all be clear who the enemy is and that the spiritual forces of evil seek to take advantage of this opportunity to weaken and divide the church.  We do not need to be afraid (we are in a…

March 31 worship update

Grace Community Church, We have made the decision to extend our social distancing for another 2 weeks.  This means that we will not gather physically on April 5 or April 12.  And yes, that means that we will not physically be together on Easter Sunday.  I assure you that the truth of Christ rising from the grave is not impacted by the fact that we will be worshipping online or in the parking lot in our cars and not physically…

Church UpDate March 19

Grace Community Church, I met with the Church Council last night and we decided that we will not meet physically for worship on March 22 or March 29.  After March 29, we will evaluate again. Our decision is not based on fear, but on what it means to be a good neighbor. This does not mean that we won’t be having church.  You can close a building, but you can’t close the church. We will worship online live at 9:30am…
