Small Groups and Studies

God designed each one of us for community.  This means that we will not grow and experience the fullness of the Christian life outside of helping and being helped by others in the church.  The way that we do this at Grace is through our small groups.  Below you will find a few of the small groups that are continuing to meet during the winter.  These groups represent the heart of our church and we invite you to sign up and discover the joy of connecting with others and the power of God for a transformed life.  Below the description small group opportunities are the answers to some of the most common questions that people ask.

Seamless:  April 3-May 15 (Tuesday mornings from 9:30-11:00)

Kathryn O’Brien will lead a 7 week study called Seamless, written by Angie Smith (wife of Todd Smith, who plays with the Christian group, Selah). It is a quick trip from Genesis to Revelation which intends to tie the Old Testament and New Testament in a “Seamless” story.  In 7 sessions, Seamless covers the people, places, and promises of the Bible, tying them together into the greater story of Scripture. Whether you’ve grown up hearing Bible stories or you’re exploring Scripture for the first time, the full story of the Bible can be overwhelming. Experience the Bible as a whole as you gain clarity and confidence in your understanding of Scripture. Discover a biblical context that reshapes and brings to life stories from the Old and New Testaments. Each week is accompanied by maps, general Bible facts, and word studies. Book cost $15.  Click Here to sign up.

The Book of James:  July 11-August 22 (Wednesday Nights from 6:00-7:30)

True faith produces fruit. A faith without action and without life change is ultimately a dead faith. The book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus—the kind of roll-up-your-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffering, who’ve faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God.  The study of this book will challenge you to move beyond a private, intellectual knowledge of God and His Word, to a vibrant faith that impacts every square inch of life.  Click Here to sign up.
